The NMLC Core Barrel is an industry-standard triple tube coring system designed for mineral exploration and geotechnical site investigations where high core recovery rates in difficult, friable, or highly fractured formations are critical. Unlike standard double tube options, the NMLC system features a split inner tube (liner) that secures the core sample, shielding it from flushing mud or fluids during drilling operations.
By minimizing mechanical friction and hydraulic washing effects, the NMLC core barrel preserves delicate structural features in the sample, including fracture planes, clay seams, and soft mineral inclusions. The resulting 52mm core diameter provides geological engineers with pristine samples necessary for accurate rock quality designation (RQD) and laboratory shear testing.
