The modern civil engineering landscape is shifting rapidly toward trenchless technologies. Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) and advanced directional boring equipment are at the center of this transformation. As cities densify and municipal codes restrict open-cut excavation, municipal utility providers globally are selecting steerable boring systems. These technologies preserve existing pavement, minimize traffic disruption, and protect ecosystems.
Directional boring operations require exact control over parameters like torque density, fluid circulation (bentonite slurry dynamics), and pullback capacity. From deploying fiber optic cables for high-speed internet to installing water mains under active waterways, horizontal directional boring machines ensure infrastructure projects are completed on schedule, under budget, and with low environmental impact.
SINOVO Group is a global supplier of construction machinery equipment and complete construction solutions. We support the construction machinery, exploration equipment, and project management sectors, serving drilling contractors and utility installers in over 120 countries and regions.
Since the early 1990s, our core engineering team has focused on piling machinery, drilling equipment, and electronic hydraulic drive technologies. Over decades of refinement, SINOVO has built alliances with top global component suppliers and Chinese manufacturers. Today, we are recognized for exporting heavy engineering machinery that delivers high performance at a competitive cost.
SINOVO Heavy Industry operates a 7,800 square meter Beijing facility and a 120 million RMB manufacturing base in the Hebei Xianghe Emerging Industry Demonstration Zone. This facility spans 67 mu and houses over 50 pieces of heavy machining, welding, and inspection equipment.
Our Xianghe industrial facility is located 100 kilometers from Tianjin Port. This proximity allows for direct land-to-sea transport of heavy machinery, reducing domestic shipping costs, avoiding transshipment delays, and lowering freight expenses for our clients.
We combine China's structural steel and metallurgical supply chains with imported components like Cummins engines, Kawasaki hydraulic systems, and Caterpillar undercarriages. This design strategy balances durability, serviceability, and cost-effectiveness.
Our senior engineers began developing piling and geodrilling rigs in the early 1990s. In 2008, we integrated our operations globally by establishing TEG FAR EAST in Singapore, expanding our sales, service, and spare parts supply chains throughout Southeast Asia.
In 2010, SINOVO established the Xianghe manufacturing base to handle expanding global orders. To meet international requirements, our annual capacity was raised to 1,000 core drilling rigs, 250 water well drilling rigs, and 120 rotary drilling units. We also developed custom electronic control and hydraulic drive systems to keep our machinery competitive in varying soil conditions.
Directional boring operations depend on matching the machine's capabilities to the site's geology. SINOVO's design team works to optimize the performance of our horizontal directional drilling (HDD) systems:
For operations in rocky geology or high-torque conditions, SINOVO rigs are built with reinforced structural frames and heat-treated gearboxes to handle challenging bore profiles.
A drilling rig is a long-term investment. SINOVO maintains a dedicated service framework to support your machine throughout its service life:
We supply product specifications, technical data sheets, and custom configurations. Rig specifications can be modified to suit project parameters and environmental regulations, and we accommodate third-party pre-shipment inspections.
We work to deliver equipment on time, with typical lead times ranging from 10 to 15 days for standard builds (custom modifications may require additional time). Rigs undergo dynamic testing, load-cell testing, and high-pressure hydraulic tests before leaving the factory.
We provide a one-year warranty on major structural components. During this period, we offer operator training, commissioning assistance, and replacement parts. Machines built with Caterpillar undercarriages can also access service through local Caterpillar service networks.
SINOVO Heavy Industry products are manufactured to international standards. Our manufacturing facilities and equipment hold ISO9001:2015, CE, GOST, and Customs Class A certifications, enabling compliance on job sites globally.
We maintain an engineering R&D center focused on pile engineering and steerable horizontal boring. Our designs are supported by multiple active utility patents, which protect our proprietary electronic-hydraulic control circuits, torque multipliers, and wear-resistant gear tracks.
SINOVO Heavy Industry welcomes global buyers and third-party inspectors to visit our manufacturing facilities. Below is an inside look at our assembly bays, fabrication shops, and paint facilities, showing where our drilling systems are built:
Our production floor is managed by an experienced engineering and fabrication team. Many of our managers and technicians have spent over 30 years in the construction machinery industry, ensuring attention to detail from the initial frame welding to final calibration.
SINOVO piling, geological, and directional boring rigs are deployed across diverse environments, from tropical soil profiles in Southeast Asia to desert conditions in the Middle East. Some of our project history includes:
High-performance, compact footprint micro-piling rig.
High-force splitting systems for rock fracturing.
Compact rotary rig for medium-sized foundation piling.
Versatile crawler engineering drill for multiple soil formations.
We provide support for our drilling rigs, including operator training programs and on-site setup, to assist your operations from day one.
Our engineers configure drilling rigs to handle specific site parameters, structural requirements, and local safety standards.
Major components and structural welds are covered by our warranty. We supply replacement parts and diagnostic assistance to help minimize downtime.
